Every tag combines three complementary technologies. 433 MHz active RFID is the backbone, chosen because it penetrates standard building materials and carries across open ground. Diffused infrared gives room-level certainty because light does not pass through walls. 125 kHz low-frequency exciters guard doors, gates and elevators, where a locked door or a held elevator can still change the outcome.
